What is This????

Does anyone have any idea of what this is? It's all over this oak tree. It's kind of pretty I think. It must be some sort of parasite or something.

The Family Piano

Recently, my parents got rid of our old piano. I had to take some pictures of it before it was gone forever. :) We have so many great memories of it from growing up. Our family used to gather around it and sing many songs while Mom played. We would entertain company, practice for Church, or just have some quality family time singing together. It was taking up too much space in my parent's house and no one every really plays it any more. So, I can understand why they wanted to get rid of it. I'm thankful though for all the great memories it provided for our family.

Local Wildlife

We saw this Momma deer with 5 spotted fawns! I think she must have adopted some of them. There are two nursing on her and 3 to the left of her. 2 are behind the tree branches, but you can see them if you look closely.


I thought these bugs were kind of cute. They were on the milkweed in our backyard.


I don't know what kind of insect this is, but thought it was interesting.


A dragonfly


This is our chicken up in the pine tree. I don't know what made her decide to go up there.


A hognose snake. It looks kind of like a cobra.

Fishing with Tim

Tonight Tim took me fishing on a lake near our house. It was so nice and peaceful just the two of us. We were the only ones on the lake. I haven't gone fishing in a long time. The last time I went with Tim, I didn't have a license so I was just the photographer. This time I caught 6 bass! The biggest was 15 inches. Here are a few pictures from our evening on the lake.

Mother/Daughter Getaway 2009

June 11-14th My Mom, sisters, and I went to New Buffalo, Michigan for our annual Mother/Daughter Getaway. Every year we go to a new place. We had a great time this year at the New Buffalo Inn and Spa. We rented a great little cabin, did a little bit of shopping, played our favorite card game, ate yummy food, and even had spa treatments. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Bobbi Jo, Mom, Grandma Irene, Me, Tricia, and Jen. We had a nice visit with my Grandma. We don't get to visit her very often.

Tim and the kids met us in New Buffalo on Sunday so that we could go visit some relatives down state. We met at a place called "Oinks". :)
